Spilled oil has washed up along "tens of kilometres" of the Russian Black Sea coast after two tankers were badly damaged in a storm at the weekend, a regional official said on Tuesday, and state media said a third vessel was now in trouble.

Another Russian tanker has sent a distress signal in the Black Sea. A fuel oil leak has been detected on the tanker, the Telegram channel Readovka reports. According to preliminary information, the incident occurred on the ship Volgoneft-109 near the Kavkaz port in the Black Sea.
