At least four Christmas tree farms in Michigan have already shut down for the season, about a week earlier than usual.

The Saginaw farm closed for the season on Saturday, Dec. 7 citing higher than anticipated sales and the need to prepare for future years. “Closing early is not what we prefer, but in order to keep growing for the future, it’s a decision that had to be made,” a Facebook post said.
