Mercedes-AMG introduces its first in-house developed high performance SUV, Born in Affalterbach, built on the new AMG.EA electric platform.

The electric AMG SUV will use the same AMG.EA platform as AMG's upcoming electric sedan, with prototypes undergoing initial testing this winter.

To date, Mercedes-AMG has built five standalone cars. That list is already set to expand to six when the sub-brand's new electric sedan debuts — but as it turns out, the Mercedes performance group won't stop there.
