A man who repeatedly kicked his partner in the head as she lay unconscious on the floor has been jailed for 23 years.

Officers found a 17-year-old with leg injuries lying on the floor. A force spokesman said a 29-year-old man was later arrested, and urged any witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch.
