Layton crossing guard killed after struck by vehicle
LAYTON, Utah — A crossing guard working near a Layton elementary school was killed after being struck by a vehicle early Tuesday.

The man was hit at 8:30 a.m. police said. The crash occurred down the street from Vae View Elementary School. Lt. Lyman said the crossing guard, a 67-year-old man, was in the crosswalk when he was hit by a car headed northbound on Main Street. He said the driver is cooperating with the investigation.
