Nebraska Attorney General Michael Hilgers on Tuesday filed an antitrust lawsuit against some of the largest heavy-duty truck manufacturers accusing them of limiting the availability of diesel-powered semi-trucks in a shift to clean electric trucks.

Nebraska AG Mike Hilgers is taking truck makers to court over their "Clean Truck Partnership" with California, while ATA has called on the OEMs to abandon the deal.

In a statement released Tuesday, Hilgers says that California has imposed a series of regulations to “essentially eliminate semi-trucks with internal combustion engines.”
