Frito-Lay is recalling bags of Lay’s Classic Potato Chips after the FDA increased the risk level of the product to its highest level of risk classification.

Last month, Frito-Lay issued a recall warning that more than 6,300 of its 13-ounce bags may contain undeclared milk posing a risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction. On Monday, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration classified the recall as "Class I," the most severe risk level.

The FDA has raised the risk level on a recall of Lay’s potato chips to the highest level, warning the recalled product could cause death. The chips were originally recalled last month for containing undeclared milk.
