Vermont State Police told NBC5 that a tractor-trailer narrowly avoided becoming the first truck stuck on Vermont Route 108, known locally as Smugglers' Notch or Notch Road, on Thursday morning.

It's the latest step to combat tractor-trailers getting stuck on the narrow, winding road. "It's notoriously tricky, it's very, very tight," said Todd Sears, with Vermont's Agency of Transportation.
