A Ukrainian missile struck a boiler plant in Russia's Rostov Oblast overnight on Dec. 11, damaging critical infrastructure in the city of Taganrog, Russian officials claimed.

The Russian Ministry of Defence confirmed a missile attack using ATACMS on the airport in Taganrog, revealing the weakness of Russia's air defence, as reported by the Defence Express portal. The Russian Ministry of Defence admitted that ATACMS missiles attacked the airport in Taganrog.

Explosions were heard in the city of Taganrog, Rostov region (Russia), during the night of December 11. Air defense systems are still operating in the area due to an air attack, according to Taganrog Mayor Svitlana Kambulova and Russian media outlets.
