A woman living in one side of the duplex was hit in the chest by a bullet while laying in her bed, police said. The woman called 911 and officers had to break into a window to help her. She was transported to the hospital with critical injuries, according to MNPD.

Authorities are investigating a shooting that occurred overnight in East Nashville, leaving one person injured.
