Visiting the Grand Canyon for one day in May. Plan to see the views via the park shuttles. Is there a certain order to do the colored shuttles in (orange, blue, red??), and can you see all of the viewpoints marked for each shuttle in one day and still have time to visit the village and Visitor's Center? Is there usually a long line at the gate to get to the south rim if we have a park pass? We are coming in July.

The people at the hotel in Tuyasan said last Memorial Day it was a two hour wait to get in the park. Line backed up from the entrance to the airport. Go early!
We are planning to go on the mule ride down to Phantom Ranch. My kids will be 9 and older, but I am nervous that they may not meet the height requirement. Do they measure the kids before the ride? -We are at least a year out (fingers cross they grow)
