Can anyone give me information on how hard the Maroansetra to Cap Est trek is? Is there a lot of climbing? I am a bit scared of hights. are there high drops/abysms? And the river crossings, is the water to you ankles? knees? waist? :) thanks in advance!

Hi, I went for 14 days. And I paid 1500 € in total. With that you get a Guide, a cook, and 2 other people (one carrying your backpack and another one carrying the other cooking stuff). I did this via Elysee with one other Guide. I think the prices might all be in this range. But for me the costs were worth the trip since you help the people living there (most of the food you buy as you pass by the villages), the people in your group (guide, cook etc.). And they do an exceptional job!

Hello! I am trying to do a trek from Maroantsetra to Cap Masoala. I don't want to stay in any lodges and would just plan on camping the whole way down with a guide and possibly a porter.
