Hi can anyone please recommend a nice clean safe hotel in Memphis. Some of the reviews I have read for some of the chain hotels which you'd expect to be decent are horrendous ie crowne plaza downtown and some marriott group hotels.

I am planning on visiting next spring and will probably need to use a walker by then. Is the mansion walker friendly?

Yes. You can use your walker. There are a few stairs but they have exits or you can skip that area. You tour the mansion on your own and can take your time.
If I purchase a vip tour ticket for the mansion etc can you walk back to the mansion later without going back inside just to take photos outside etc when it's not so busy

You can also stay outside as long as you wish and take any bus back or walk back to the museum; it's not far at all.
