A must see, bucket list place for all mountain lovers. We were there in October with the aspen and maple trees showing their colors. It was actually fall weather, whereas it’s still 90+!in Texas. My … Bette W的完整评论

I must catch a plane in Missoula around dinner time. Is it feasible to get a one-day vehicle pass on a Monday, tour for part of the day, and get back to Missoula airport by 4:00 PM?

Hello Steve, my guess it is a long drive there to the West entrance. You would be rushing through the park, not getting to really see it. I'm from Aussie land so driving long distance is not much for me. Probably your biggest wait would be the car hire place they tend to be slow. Missoula is not much chop one or two good cafes. Good luck.
My wife and I are arriving at the West Glacier Amtrak train station on June 4 at 9:27 pm. We are staying at the Apgar Village Lodge and Rooms that evening. What transportation options are there to get us from the train station to the lodge?
答:
I'm probably late on this reply but I would think you could call your lodge for a pick up
My husband and I have an 8 month old so we are trying to figure out how GNP is as far as babies are concerned. We are thinking about traveling this month. Are there baby friendly hikes? We were either looking to going to GNP or Yellowstone National Park. Is there a big difference between the two as far as a baby is concerned?
答:
There are some wheelchair friendly short trails at GNP, so you can easily travel with the stroller. Same at Yellowstone. Happy travels!
In July, 2019 our family of four will be traveling by car from a family reunion in Helena, MT to Glacier National Park where we will stay for three nights. We will then need to drive back home to Southern Minnesota. We are hoping to see as much as possible at Glacier National Park in three days to include a river rafting experience. Any suggestions for which towns or area to stay and what routes to take through the park to see some awesome attractions?

Depends do much in what your interest is. We spent 3 days there last summer at West Glacier. The rafting (by WIld River Adventures) was awesome even for us first timers - some level 3 but had a great guide. The horse back ride was not the greatest. Ate a lot of dust and really didn't see much. We loved hiking back to the St. Marys & Virginia Falls, fairly easy and well marked trails and very gorgeous falls. If you like more primitive areas, I highly recommend Bowman Lake and Polebridge. This was one of the most serene undisturbed areas (less traffic but primitive). The lake was just like a picture - setting in the mountains.
