Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Burgess diagnoses and treats medical and surgical conditions affecting the bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons. He specializes in sports medicine and also treats pain as a result of injury, illness, or disabling conditions.Dr. Burgess earned his medical degree at West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, where he was president of his medical school class. He later completed his residency at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Florida. Dr. Burgess gained additional expertise during his orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital.
