There are a number of rooms at both levels to look at, and shelter in, however the open area at the top would be very exposed if the weather was poor. If you are paying to go in (i.e. not an English Heritage member), it would probably not be worth paying to go in on a day with very poor weather.

Hi Sheila its wildsurfer here you might have a little difficulty with a scooter as there is two levels to Yarmouth castle, a ground level and a first level you can definetly gain access very easily on the first level but that would depend on the width of your scooter, also the ground is a little uneven on the first level, there isn't a lift so you will definetly need help to get from ground to first.
