It looks like the hotel is across the street but the streets are busy. Also how safe is the area for two ladies at 10-11 PM?

There is a covered walkway that goes over the street and connects to the hotel. There is also an elevator to access the sky walk.

Yes there is parking in front of union station as well as a spacious parking garage. Parking is paid so plan for $5-$10.
