Yes there is a path overhead that crosses the road by the air vent half way along- you can hear and see your friends down there and call back to them and then see them at the end
I’m not sure if Dogs are allowed there as are wildlife , Peacock’s , geese and goats . There is a phone number you could call or leave a message on there page.

It’s pretty much a straight run up the west coast. We hired a car, there should be excursions running but these can be over priced when booked with your travel agent.
