We stopped by Komodo National Park as part of our tour. We arrived at 10.30 am on a Thursday - not many tour groups there yet. Our assigned Ranger explained the rules and we walked the short path - w… 359td的完整评论

We went to the komodo island as part of our boat cruise from Flores to Lombok. When arriving on the jetty it already felt a bit off, this feeling unfortunately became a reality. We were told the dr… 827maximg的完整评论

We all loved the experience. Too many people, though but we had a chance to see two active dragons, one pretty sedated (just guessing) and a little one by the rocks nearby the beach. Happiness60290815521的完整评论
Hi there .... can you make your own way to the Dragon park (say by taxi) and then buy a guided walk ticket from there (as opposed to paying $120 for the organised tour from the cruise ship) ???

As of our visit in late 2018, the shortest way for an independent traveler to visit Komodo Island was to fly to Labuanbajo Airport, walk or take a taxi to the center of town (which was quite small), and book a private tour by launch. We chose a daylong boat trip including an hour or two hiking through dragon habitat but also stopping to snorkel and to view manta rays. Our guide took realistic trick shots making it appear that we were petting a Komodo dragon. Although I suffered from amoebiasis from a mandi bath that week, I could enjoy the tour as it was not strenuous.
We are on a cruise ship going to Komodo Island and believe we must book a tour to be able to leave the ship and see the dragons. The ship tour says high level of fitness and 1 hour of walking. Can anyone please tell me is this a flat stroll or hoofing it up a hill? Roughly how many km are covered? Is it easy or hard walking? Any info would be appreciated (we have a young child and unfit adults)
