Hi Yes the schedule changes in September so you can't get there via the ferry on Monday and Tuesdays. The ferries doe operation on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. However, if you are adventuresome you could always kayak out on a Monday or Tuesday!

It is round trip, they take your ticket at the dock. You have no ticket for return, but there is only the one ferry service. They come back every half hour to get people off the island. Basically if you are on the island then you are allowed on the ferry. On the hour is the large boat, on the half hour is the small boat during the week. I think weekends had slightly different times.
