Lee Miller and Roland Penrose moved to the Sussex countryside to live at Farleys in 1949. For the thirty five years that followed they filled their home with a collection of contemporary art treasures and were visited by some of the key personalities in twentieth century art. Picasso, Man Ray and Miró were among those who came and their work is hung in the house alongside that of Miller, Penrose and numerous others. Farleys still conjures up an extraordinary atmosphere and provides visitors with a fascinating look into the remarkable lives of Lee Miller, Roland Penrose and the world of the Surrealists.
