Dr. Manoj Mehta has been a lifelong Chicagoan. He grew up in the south suburbs and completed his medical school, medical residency, and gastroenterology fellowship at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago. While most students coveted the “private practice” residencies, Dr. Mehta elected to do rotations at Cook County Hospital to expand his exposure to various types of pathology. As a University of Chicago faculty member, Dr. Mehta is active in the training and education of residents and fellows. Dr. Mehta has been extensively involved in the endoscopic training for the NorthShore gastroenterology fellowship program. Teaching has been a way of giving back. Dr.
