Hi Lynn There are several walks Meadow walk is a quarter mile Blue Trail is 1.25 miles White Trail is 1.5 miles or you can combine blue/white making 2ish miles Blue and white are round lakes, so you have to go right round or turn back. I am disabled and there are two good disabled loan scooters which can go round all the paths. There is a map available at reception.
How did you get on with the charge. I just got one from October, today 6/2/17, saying I didn't pay? I have been going there for well over 15 years at least 2/3 times a month and always made a donation. I always bought something and always left money in the donation box. Its my disabled fathers favourite place and I drive from Huyton to there and back just so he can walk the 300 yards he can manage. Sick about it as I had no Idea in October that anything had changed. I did notice the signs in January as my father had been ill and unable to go out for months. Can`t believe it. Sadly will have to find a new spot.

The Donation is no longer the way to pay it's just prior to leaving you pay £2.00 for the Car Park & that will cover you from one to two hours to all day which as Pensioners we actually think …
The Donation is no longer the way to pay it's just prior to leaving you pay £2.00 for the Car Park & that will cover you from one to two hours to all day which as Pensioners we actually think is very reasonable , so you don't have to visit the Visitor Centre & spend any money unless you really want to or need to purchase something. The money goes for the up keep of the Hides & maintanence of the woodland etc & we think it's worth every penny
