I stayed at the Blau Varadero resort and Barracuda Diving school is on the property. In three dives plus the theory I was certified for international open water diving. They have excellent instructors and I did 1.5 hours of preliminary instruction in the resort pool first. Highly recommend them.
hi I'm going to the Royalton in October and plan to dive regularly and hear the equipment is pretty poor so plan on taking my own. my question is do you know if they have DIN fittings also is the diving any good. cheers Paul

No problem with A-clamp or DIN. Book dives in Bay of the Pigs. (4 hours drive from Varadero but worth it) and Playa el Coral (30 mins from Varadero), Both places are so unique and different it will be shame to miss. No need to take your gear (I took only my mask) you can always book dives with private instructor. Normally they will have better stuff
