I was very upset seeing this place, so much potential, the two foxes in such a small enclosure while the video inside explains how they need a lot more space. Animal abuse in my eyes, secondly the tw… Bestweview1的完整评论

We have been extremely lucky to spot a wild Artcic Fox back in 2022 during our trip somewhere in the north east region of Iceland, but I was naive thinking we will get to see one "more often" during … reedmangreg的完整评论

Absolutely disgraceful place, why P&O include this in a tour is beyond comprehension, two young foxes held in diabolical conditions, to claim this venue as being the Arctic Fox Centre is a grossly mi… Safari43068866374的完整评论

Hi We will be visiting Isafjorour 9 July. Would love to visit the fox centre. Apart from my legs not working that well I am fit and have strong upper body strength. There are 2 of us. I use a manual powered wheelchair but can walk a little with crutches. My husband assists when required. The chair does break down. How is the best way to get to you and back again from the curise ship. Look forward to hearing from you. Kind regards Christine and Ron Blake New Zealand

Good afternoon, you can enter us with a wheelchair. If your cruise does not sell excursions to us, you can rent a car or taxi. Regards

My wife and I will be coming into Isafjordur on the 2nd of June aboard the Seabourn Quest. We wish to avoid the cruiseline excursions when possible but would like to see the Fox Center. Could we simply go ashore in Isafjordur, and then take a taxi to the center (either before or after the cruise boat tour is there) and then return to Isafjordur at our leisure. Perhaps if a Center staff member is in Isafjordur perhaps we could catch a ride to or from the center with them. We look forward to visiting the Center. Thank You, Bruce Wilburn

Hi Bruce, we rented a car (Europcar) and went to the Fox Centre, and then visited towns going in the opposite direction. We went through the tunnel which was one of the most memorable (and a bit hair-raising) experiences ever. it was a low key day but also provided great insight into Iceland. If you just want to go to the Fox Centre a taxi should get your there just fine. Its small but packed full of info and gets you off the ship. Hope that helps. Lauren

Hi, OUr centre does house orphaned Arctic fox pups but we do not take in rescued/injured animals from the public. The pups on site our raised in captivity, and although we used to raise them to be wild and reintroduce them to the nature we are now unable to do so due to new regulations. I hope this helps :-) All the best Midge

Hi Cat M and thanks for your interest in us! :-) The centre is open all year, weekdays only in September but we have no tours from Reykjavík :-( the best way to get to us is to fly into Ísafjörður and then make the 20km ride into Súðavík or if you have a hire car you can obviously drive to us along the all hard surfaced roads from Reykjavík. I hope this helps all the best Midge

Hi there bananab0at. There is only one bus per day that goes from Ísafjörður to Súðavík, and that leaves early in the morning (around 07,30) Otherwise you can take a taxi (6000kr) or try to hitch a ride out to us. You can also call us the day before, and if we have one of the team in Ísafjörður then we would be happy to pick you up. Hope that helps looking forward to seeing you this summer! Midge
