The best time to visit Pokhara from where you can get amazing views of the Annapurna Himalayas is in October. Having said that, due to other engagements, I could visit Nepal only in March,2024. Fully… selvakumar2015的完整评论

The colours are amazing. The night sky is full of stars. Morning and evening colours are undescribably adorable. Mid morning and afternoon azure sky is something to behold. What more can I say? DrRThapa的完整评论

I am reading too many reviews and have seen several youtube videos which indicate the ABC circuit is now basically an overcrowded, motorized, dusty jeep trail. i could not think of anything i want to do less. Solitude and majestic beauty is what i would be looking for; will i find it? i trekked in this area many years ago and was looking to go back but now am not so sure.. any trek reports on the concerns raised here would be appreciated.

Hello yasithas, I hope you’re doing great today!! I probably would recommend mid April to early May if you went this time of year. May brings rather unpredictable weather, being on the fringes of monsoon season. Monsoon season brings major mudslides at times, causing the trail to either close or making for large detours. It can be quite dangerous then. My guide told me he took clients, one in late May and one in July on the Annapurna circuit and said he never wants to do it again. It was really scary. I think April is the best time in mid spring, with snow still making things look great on the mountains and the trail pretty dry. Either way, it’s a trek of a lifetime.

Hello Maliya25, I can answer a couple questions you asked. 1) Yes it is possible to do the trek solo, but it depends how much hiking or trekking you’ve done. Some say you can just meet other trekkers along the way and go with them. I think someone in the group must have some experience with fairly high elevation trekking because conditions can change very quickly. If a person doesn’t know the potential dangers and how to prevent or manage them, it can be disastrous. A person needs to know the time to turn around and go back home and when it’s ok to wait out a storm in a teahouse and then continue trekking. I will say I think ABC is pretty easy compared to some of the other treks in the area, but there are still potential hazards to consider. Please listen to experienced trekkers when up there on the trek. I met some young people who clearly had no idea what they were doing. They thought they were bulletproof after a storm dropped a meter of snow on the ground at a time of year that never happened before. It closed Thorung La pass on the Annapurna circuit trek for a few days, as well as ABC for about a week. It is very doable solo, just please be wise about it. 2). You basically just show up at tea houses and get a room. During peak season it may be a little harder. You need to get to your desired destination early to assure you get one. Trekking companies will get priority. You need to leave around 6:00am and get to your destination between and 11:00am and 12:00pm. Most companies start trekking a bit later and arrive between 12:00pm and 1:00pm. If you’re a strong trekker, you’ll have no problems. 3). I have no idea the cost for the ABC because I’ve never done it solo. I’ve only trekked in Nepal using guides. I like using them to support the community and they will keep you safe. But it can be done solo. Again, be smart and listen to others along the way that know what they’re talking about and you’ll be fine.
